According to customs data, from January to February 2023, my country’s textile and clothing exports amounted to US$40.842 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 18.5%. Among them, the export value of textiles (including textile yarn, fabrics and products) was 19.165 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 22.4%; the export value of clothing (including clothing and clothing accessories) was 21.678 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 14.7%.

As of February 2023, in the 2022/2023 cotton year (September 2022-August 2023), the cumulative export value of my country’s textiles and clothing was 143.599 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 14%, of which the cumulative export value of textiles was 64.871 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease 15.8%; the cumulative export value of clothing was 78.728 billion US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 12.5%.
